    Bonsai4me has an article about Armillatox Cleaner. It is advertised as a driveway and patio cleaner but they claim they use it on their bonsai trees to remove the green algae on the trunk, and also as a general fungicide. I can find nowhere in the US that it is available, only in the UK...

    I am finding these threadlike "things" on my trees, they remind me of dandelion fluff. we don't have anything nearby in bloom right now. am I just being overly protective?????

    at least Death Valley has dry heat. I live in central florida, and this has been the hottest spring I can remember. humidity approaching 100% most of the time. this is why i'm guessing at heat stress. the trees have been in their spring grow-like-crazy mad rush, probably overwhelming...

    have lost one more tree, a rosemary. I have come to the conclusion that it was heat stress. we have had an unusually HOT spring, these trees were in pretty shallow pots. I did not find any evidence of borers, but there were no seemingly healthy root tips. guess my trees needed an A/C.
