    Moving trees to new home.

They will all go up a smooth as glass tollway in north Texas In a 20 ft uhaul is what I have figured out. Early morning. 40 miles. No one will know that a Bonsai nut with 40 little trees is beside them. Lol. Thanks for all the ideas. It spurred me to realize what I already had to use. now for...

    Moving trees to new home.

I figured it out. It was in plain view at all times. My bench tops just sit on cinder blocks. I’m going to turn them upside down. This will create space to put pots with a 6 inch lip on both sides. I will separate the pots with pieces of cut 2x4 With distance of canopies. I will then separate...

    Moving trees to new home.

I only have a 45 minute drive. I guess my biggest problem is keeping them from breaking each other. Using floor space in a truck will probably be my only option. I’m thinking about building a grid with 2x4s to keep them apart. Still working through ideas.

    Moving trees to new home.

I am also doing this in September in Texas. Should be about 100-105 degrees. I can cut the temp by doing it first thing in the morning By about 15 degrees. I need to go check the inside temp of a uhaul truck on a similar day.

    Moving trees to new home.

Does anyone have pics of how you moved all your trees to a new home? I’m am going to move about 40 trees to a new house we are building. I am at a loss of how I can safely do it. I have both small and large trees. My concern is that if I load them all in a uhaul truck they will slide around and...

    Grow stone

It's basically like fake lava, but the pieces are too big for my liking. I still have a huge bald cypress planted in about a third of this. I can't really judge it because as long as you keep BC wet they will grow in anything.

    Spider Mites!!!

I have been fighting these guys forever. They are my worst nightmare. Rotate chemicals. I have found they become immune to the same chemical easily. Also use neem oil. It's makes them go crazy and forget to eat. It also messes up their reproductive cycle.

    Dwarf Varigated Lantana

They grow like weeds here and laugh at 100 plus weather. I planted some in the landscape this year and the ones in full sun grew 6 feet limbs. Constantly blooming. I believe mine were marketed as confetti. Multicolored blooms. Absolutely gorgeous.

What was the best bonsai/tree related advice you have been given?

If you have 6 foot tall bonsai invest in heavy duty turn tables they live on for rotating. And buy a hydralic lift cart.

What was the best bonsai/tree related advice you have been given?

Don't buy 6 foot tall bonsai when you already have back problems.....

    Showing Her Knees

I have a big one as well. No knees though. Is this guy extremely root bound? Do you think that would cause it? I would love to know what causes this to happen and replicate it.

Tropicals, how do you protect them in winter?
