Has anyone ever used this plant for bonsai before? I really love the look of a japanese red maple, but I don't think those would survive here. I found this recently at a local nursery, but I don't really know how well suited it is for bonsai.

Yeah, I understand that there are people that like it the way it is, and I'm not asking for anyone to change what they are doing now (no need to look up the url and use the img tags), but I'm wondering if there is some add on or extension for vbulletin that would allow the user to set their own...
Yeah, that's pretty much the same thing, IP is plenty fast, but when I'm clicking through 10 pics, every pic takes a second or two to pop up and load, whereas if they were loaded full size, they would all be loaded by the time I finished reading the first post.
It's kind of annoying to have to click on each attachment (or hit next) and wait for each picture to load. I'd rather just scroll through pictures and be able to see pictures side by side, especially for progression pictures. On most forums that I go to, pictures are usually externally hosted...
The pines and juniper at chikugo en were amazing, unfortunately I think it is illegal to bring back pines, but I did pick up a small maple from house of bonsai, hopefully it does ok in the warmer weather.

Actually checked out this show while I was in LA last week, this was one of the highlights of the show along with a beautiful black pine. I can post some pictures that I took tonight.
So I go through and add about $150 worth of tools to my cart, go to check out and Hawaii is not on the list of states, I guess we are not part of the US anymore. :p
