    @Kirk -I plan on air layering the three trunks and creating taper with subsequent growth this summer, it has some beautiful nebari just below the soil surface already. @Dav4 -No freezing temps here yet on the Savannah river.

    Here is a Lagerstroemia indica that I cut back in November and pruned its roots. Its not exactly collected from the wild but I dug it up and put it in a training pot a few days ago.

    Chamaecyparis should live outside. I would suggest planting them in their containers in the ground in a location with full sun for their first winter.

    The tree pictured is definetly Schefflera arboricola. The leaf size will not shrink down that much but they respond well to pruning so you can shape the tree how you like. and a narrow leaf ficus since its on the same table -
