    Would you buy a pot?

I would definetely buy a pot from an ex-con or a convict. I am really into corrections. If the offfender was incarcerated at the time he was making/selling pottery I would only purchase if money was going to victims families or to pay for the cost of incaceration.

Since I'm ruining this site all by myself...

I am sure I would like any of those trees. I don't have a well grown collection and those would be wonderful. In the midwest we don't have a wonderful sellection of yamadori.

    small display suggestions

I can't say I know any of the rules but inthe first picture I think there is too much stone/pottery. I like the second one the best. I wonder how it would look with a wood slab under it.

    Cornus Kousa any thoughts ?

Went out to Home Depot and found a Cornus Kousa. Does anyone have any thoughts on this species. I liked the nebari and the trunk thickness in relation to where the final height of the tree is planned. I did not find much with a search, but thought some one might know something. Thanks

    larch as bonsai

I know this may seem like a dumb question to many but does anyone know if larch is a good species as bonsai in the Chicago area. I think it would be okay in winter but we can get steamy in summer.
