    This isn't unusual. I've seen other nurseries do this, but maybe not in pools quite as deep. Helps the trees stay nice and hydrated.

    deal on osmocote

    I, unfortunately, don't fertilize my trees like I should. I looked into Osmocote, but have read mixed reviews mostly because of the casing of the product being slow to breakdown, if it does at all. I have picked up some BioGold, but might look back into Osmocote...

    From my experience, I've learned that if I have to ask what other people think I am not that interested in the tree. The right tree will "speak" to me. I personally wouldn't pay that for the tree, because it doesn't seem to have a particular direction it's going towards (maaaaybe future cascade?).
