Well that's good to know. I have a cordless dremel, but I have been thinking about getting the 4000, just for around the house things. You think that would work here? I'd also been debating about the Metabo 710 plus.

You guys are right, I'm sure. I am gonna need better power tools for this kind of project anyway. This will give me time to research and decide what would be best to buy!

I recently received this Pom Stump, and it ended up being larger than I expected. A suggestion was made to just let the branches grow for now to thicken up, which isn't a problem. It's going to be a major carving project and I'm not sure where to get started, so bonhe suggested posting it...

Just an update, in case anyone finds themself in the same boat someday. The tree arrived dormant, and was kept in the basement walkout for several weeks, with protection in case of mice. One the daytime temps increased, I did the two step for awhile. Temps have been reasonable at night...

This is great! I just bought a red chojubai, and I'm already daydreaming about it being potted nicely, so this gives me some inspiration!

The flowers still haven't opened, but the bracts are pretty fully developed now. Here's a new pic, turned toward what I am thinking will be the new front, eventually. Disregard the not-so-awesome wiring. Bougies are a real PITA when it comes to wires. I love the shade of pink on these...
