    Putting a Satsuki to work...

Very nice Vic. I like the pot for this one, it looks like it goes well with the shape of the tree. If I were you I would mark that one branch and take cuttings once it pushes growth. This, and by witches brooms, is how cool and interesting varieties are made. Thanks for sharing with us, I...

    Bugs/Growth on Azalea

I don't believe they are the same thing, but I am not an entomologist.

    Bugs/Growth on Azalea

Ortho Malathion. Every 7 days. (And spray all your trees so they dont infect other trees!)

    Spruce #2

Nice tree Dave, It at first reminded me of this tree: http://crataegus.com/2009/02/25/ezo-spruce-again/ Maybe this will spark some ideas for styling later on. Andrew

    Bonsai as a crop/industry

I have heard some pretty interesting things about this as well. My teacher has told me of times he has been up to some satsuki fields, pretty crazy stuff. I don't think this is a good business idea, but could be a good side-business idea.

    Satsuki repotting

Mike lets get back to topic. If you don't believe this a soil problem, then I would suggest not barerooting it because barerooting is one of the biggest stress to a satsuki. I dont recommend performing a huge stress to an unhealthy tree. Hope everything works out, Andrew

    Satsuki repotting

Harunobu, I am just wondering how many times you have been to japan and had a japanese satsuki master or expert tell you they recommend this. If you could please tell us the name of the japanese satsuki person who told you this, I would appreciate it. Or you could also tell us the nurseries...
