    Chinese Elm concerns

Looks perfectly normal. What medium did you repot in? The only advice I would give is to not be so tied to a watering regiment. There are a lot of factors to consider when determining if a tree needs watering. But the short answer is when the soil is dry lol. That may not necessarily be every...

Any ideas what this tree is

Pics are definitely blurry but judging by the leaf shape and the root growth, it's a ficus retusa.

    Kazari 2019

I thought too, at first glance. But I’m asssuming it’s a white flowering cultivar. Absolutely beautiful tree. You don’t see many of those species that developed and with as much character. Display aside, it is my favorite tree of the lot. The Pygmy Cypress gets my vote for overall. My...

    Don’t buy

WesB, I mean this in the most sincere way possible. Do a little research on the forums here before springing to buy. It will save you some cheddar and a headache. Go to Napa auto parts and get their brand. On the bright side, you have the makings for a super killer project volcano!

What to do with leggy maple

Maples are apical, and at this stage grow more efficiently when the central leader is left alone. Unless of course you want a pencil thin trunk. Next spring put the roots on a tile and Stick it in the ground.

    Lost it all.. coming back

Welcome back! My condolences for your friend. I too had a very close friend take his life, and even after 6 years I still have a hard time dealing with the events that lead to his demise. Sounds like you have a had an awfully rough go of it. And bonsai may be just the ticket to ease some of...

    Natchez- 2 year progression

Sending good vibes your way, my friend. All but one are still sleeping, but I knew something was up, checked the tertiary branching and they were crispy so I started cutting. Basically to where you see in the photo, that’s where green appeared.. My wife is a sweetheart, she knew how down I...
