I found this picture of the other side of this weed bonsai, it´s not a good quality picture so I had to resize it.

This is the same picture as the one at the beginning of the thread, just reversed.cannnibis reversed.jpgCannibis original.jpg If it were truly the back side of that tree, we wouldn't be able to see those same objects as they are.

I had hoped that someone had vaporized this thread. Sophomoric, like its instigator.

Sorry Jim. But it just wafted back to life. Probably just smoldering in past threads stinking the place up anyway.
Whatever happened to Will Heath? Is he still around? I think I would like to meet the guy.

Can always count on you doing the early morning responses Sorce.
There's a member here who is or was good friends with Mr. Heath. Maybe he will chime in on what the man's been up to.
I've been looking at past posts and he seems to know his stuff.

First of all WILL WAS NOT BANNED HE BANNED HIMSELF He put himself out there and did a lot of things some people on this site, and a couple of others, hated him for because; according to them, he had not done the sweat equity to get him to his point of respect. He had a direct dialog with most of the major players in bonsai today evidenced by the web site he was instrumental in founding and elevating to a high status that people still talk about today: The Art of Bonsai.

One individual who had a really great vendetta toward Will because, in many ways Will, did not suffer frauds lightly and Will considered this individual as a fraud. This person was a student of Boon and boasted it almost daily when he was not reminding everyone that he was a member of Mensa, making the argument in an ad hoc sort of way that being a student of Boon and a member of Mensa automatically gave him Boon's credibility. The Problem is that this individual, with all of his Boon intensives, could not post any work of his own; just pictures of Boon's trees Boon let him work on. One a personal level he had only one little JBP that he had been working on for ten years and it was not really much of a bonsai.

Well this individual spent some of his own money and went out and did a background search on Will and discovered that twenty-five years ago he was arrested for a "sex offense" Lets examine this incident. Will in his youth owned a business that did parties with clowns, jump houses, and the like. His business also did more adult endeavors with stripers for bachelor parties and the like. This is where it turned south. His business carried catalogs which included photos of the girls that worked for his business as stripers and two of them had been hired with professionally made ID's proving they were eighteen years old and intact they we sixteen.

This happened in another state and Will was not personally involved in hiring the two girls but, because he owned the business he was responsible in the eyes of the law. Here is the funny thing about the law: It is legal to have consensual sex with a sixteen year old but you cannot take pictures of a sixteen year old. Therefore his business was lost and he was convicted of a sex crime.

This individual, who by now was jumping up and down with glee, proceeded to post this mess all over the Internet until someone pointed out to him that what he was doing was a ten year felony.

After this, all of the people who did not like Will declared war on him without knowing the details of what happened or even caring much about anything other than lynching him and getting rid of him. A year ago I had a disagreement with a member on this site about the number of trees in a display and you would have thought I had accused his mother of illicit and forbidden sex on a street corner. I had trouble understanding his anger until he made the statement that his anger was not because of my questioning the number of trees in a planting but because I was a friend of Will Heath. Any thing any one could bring up or imagine was fair game. So Will decided just to preserve a degree of harmony he banned himself off of this site he was not asked to leave.

As to my involvement with Will? We were and are friends and as far as I know he is still doing bonsai though all of this has created some bumps in the road, I still think of him as a friend and spend time with him when possible.

What a shame. We all have things in our past that real or not have nothing to do with the present. I know I sure do. Dredging up someone's past and posting it on the Internet is a small persons deed. Since he was going to intensives it automatically made him better? This person was just playing with someone else's bad ass trees but had none of his own? What a poser!
Looks to me like Will was the bigger better man overall. Better at bonsai. Better person. If this person is a member here still I would have only one question for him.
"Didn't your mommy hug you enough when you were a child?" You should be ashamed of yourself and your actions.

As a member of Mensa myself, this left a really bad taste in my mouth... He should have been smart enough to figure out how to be a better person than this. I guess there's bad apples in every organization... What a shame...

Just curious: How many points in IQ does it take to qualify for membership in mensa?

No good can come from rehashing this crapfest. This is one example of an old thread that should not have been resurrected.

Edit to make more clear - my issue is not with the cannabis thread itself (it's actually pretty funny), it's with those who are reopening the whole Will Heath affair.

It depends on the test, there are several that Mensa accepts... The one I took is considered one of the gold standards and probably the most reliable for adolescent and adult intelligence - called the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale test (or WAIS for short. ) The scale looks like this:

<70 = mental retardation
100 = average
>148 = top 2% that Mensa accepts (genius)
155 = the highest you can score on the base test

Keep in mind, intelligence tests are designed NOT to test how much crap you know, but HOW WELL your brain runs - in auto terms it's like finding out if you've got 2 cylinders, a straight 6, or a V8 under the hood. How well you use it for day to day life is another matter entirely...

It is none-the-less the truth. Some of you guys forget I know Will intimately he was even a student of mine for a while and a friend. I am very well acquainted with the facts. As to the disappearing pots. You really want to go down this road just remember I did not bring it up but when you open the door to an outhouse and you were the last one in there the smell you smell may be your own. I know some of you think you know what happened here but you do not. There are some that would claim they ordered pots that Will did not send. They are lying to you.

The same person that brought up the sex scandal also stirred this one up by convincing Robert Steven that Will had obsconded with his pots. This also was untrue and the attorney that was involved wound up with the entire inventory of said pots that were rumored to have been sold and the money withheld from Mr. Steven. The truth is that as beautiful a collectors pot as they were they were useless as bonsai pots because they only had tiny little holes in the corners big enough to run a wire through. In short if you wanted to have a world class bonsai pot which was what they were advertised as being these pots were useless.

I HAVE SEEN THEM, HANDLED THEM, AND DID NOT BUY THEM. As to the unfulfilled orders: Everything on The Art of Bonsai site was handled through PayPal. If any of you have every used this service you know you cannot get ripped off. PayPal underwrites all orders, so if someone is claiming they sent money and did not get their pots they are lying and trying to get something for nothing knowing that many companies will settle out of court rather than fight an issue.

Forsam et haec . . . etc, etc, etc.

Anyone who is anyone has probably, by now, moved on to making chacruna into bonsai.

LOL I have missed you guys!

Due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances in my life bonsai has not been on the front burner and still is not. It is great to pop back in for a look around and see this VERY old argument.

Shaking my head at things that never ever change. Really though how many things or people do you know that can still bring out the worst in everyone involved after so many years?

You guys are the best! Have a great new year if I am not back for awhile.

Glad you stopped by if only to remind us of our sphincter mentality and moral ineptitude.
