I am off to Epcot with my Golden Dewdrop (Durantra Erecta)
To participate in The Flower and Garden Show...

Spent the last 3 days cleaning up everything...
Lost of photos, sorry, still need to work on
my photography setup... Wish pics were a little
Better and did the tree the justice it deserves...
:)

Here is the link to the discussion leading up to it...

And Lastly...
When I return... I will post some pics at Epcot and the other trees
there...

As well a start a new thread discussing the hand painting of my Pot...
Which sadly in the larger photos... Looks alot darker than it is.
I don't have a way of getting a good light on it with out flooding it
out, with the setup I have :)

But here is a teaser pic for that thread...

I love the base of the tree with its intricate detail. This tree feels very balanced to me. Well done. Looking forward to pics from the show!

I'd never heard of this tree before, reminds me a bit of logwood, from my inexperienced eye.
Beautiful tree, has it ever bloomed? If so, I'd really love to see that!
Thanks for showing it, have fun at Epcot!

love the presentation of the undulating moss. Is there some Lenz-esque carving in the hollows? A good looking tree in a good looking pot.

Hi Judy, My tree does bloom, and flowers all the time...
I have to let it grow out though. But to really incorporate
the flowers, i would be better styled as more of a weeping design.

I just removed all of last years growth as soon as this years buds started popping...
So, all the foilage you see on the tree is what has grown in the last month. Come
this summer, you will not even be able to see the branches. I had a branch that
died off after last years repot, so I had to go through and re-wire the whole tree.

No... Here alot of the dead wood one finds has been eaten by bugs, and wholes have
been made by them burrowing... So I just have found I end up with pretty cool deadwood
if I just mimic that...

Nice tree. I absolutely love it. The dead wood looks completely natural.
Thanks, I appreciate it... still has a long way to go though.
But for now... it is all up to nature to go though and soften all the tool
marks.
