Wow! Now that is a tree! All of my posts will feel feeble from here on out....

quince (not a Chojubai quince)

It's not a Chojubai quince but Dick B might appreciate it anyway:

It will get pruned heavily after it blooms

Root "project"

Here is a Trident root I cut off a root over rock. I've been watching it since I heard Smoke say that root cuttings never work on Tridents (I've been watching it for at least a year). One of these days this this is going to bud out...look how green it is. ;)

This is a great thread!
Here's one of my favorite CA Junipers recently repotted.

Hi Don..I have a question...Can I have this tree?:D

This shohin shimpaku was originally styled by Suthin Sukolsolvisit a little over 1 1/2 years ago. I have repotted it and been refining it. It is about 7-8 inches tall with about a 3 inch base.

This gets my vote as best thread since I have joined bnut. Here is My fukien tea. My very first tree and what started my addiction. It's a terrible mallsai my wife got me for a birthday. Had it about 8 years now and pretty much haven't done a thing to it other than keep it alive and the occasional trimming of branches. I'll keep it forever as a reminder of where it all started.

It looks happy! The most important aspect in bonsai..You sound happy! The second most important aspect in bonsai..

My vote too!! Here's my tall procumbens (about 33 inches). I am changing the foliage direction this year. It use to be more horizontal. Not the best angled pic though.

Interesting trunk line. When you say you are changing the direction of the foliage, what is the plan? Thanks

Just thought I'd jump in and say Great Thread! :)

The trees are what we all have in common here after all.
