OMG where do I start. Today I woke up knowing I had much to do. I drove about 30 miles to a friends house to pull 17 boxwoods I'd say about 15 yrs old each. Boy was a task, it was so many about half of the way into it I was beat. I wanted to just drop everything and go I was so exhausted. I was only planning to grab the 12 out of the 17 because the 12 were part of a hedge that she was clearing out to make room for a bigger driveway.

I should have pruned them all back first, because it was easier and quicker.

I pruned down the ones i wasn't taking today in hopes that they will backbud when i return.

When I got home I didn't even want to work on them but I had to. I didn't want to risk the boxwoods lives.

That's it for now, more to come when I get the rest. I have to rework every one of these trees. I have to cut back a lot of roots near the trunk because they were all buried to deep. Thanks guys enjoy.

It looks as if you've planted these in their native soil. If that is so, then there is a distinct possibility they will succumb to root rot and die. Look into the soil threads on this forum and get them into freely draining soil. Boxwoods do not like to "have their feet wet" at all.

Yes I know all about soil. I was just trying to get them in a pot or container so I can do more work in the week.I usually use peat diatomite perlite.and pumice mix. Give me a break I did this all in one day. I also forgot to mention the main soil amendment they were in was mostly clay. So just imagine how much they clay got into the rootball. It will take a good hour a piece to wash out all of the clay from each tree.
