Had this leggy 1gal sabina sitting around that I had picked up for $1.50 because it was falling out of its pot.

I got tired of looking at it...

Hey look! There is some copper sitting there, guess I better go find my raffia and pliers and torture this ugly little thing.

First pass

Well here is the first pass... Still needs squishing in a few days and I likely will remove one of the trunks next year after I see which one comes out better.

Cool. Reminds me of Smoke's demonstration post of those Jim Gremel yamadori style junipers. I've been itching to do one of these too. How long are you going to leave the wire and raffia on?

Your wiring and raffia work is hideous!!!! It can almost pass up as my work! LOL :rolleyes:

Oh one thing I just saw, looks like I should have done this earlier in the season... Just a caution to anyone else considering it.

why take it down to one trunk? if you get two good trunks why not work them both?

I'm not set on anything yet, it was just a first thought. Let's see if both live and then we will look at it with a more critical eye I suppose. You might be right
