Don, your stock rocks. I hope to do business with you one day.
My green island recently defoliated and rewired amateurishly.

Sam, you sure have a much longer growing season than I do though.

Here's a limber we found on the mountain with an incredibly dense crown.

That limber reminds me of this Doug fir with a very unusual crown. It's just to the side of a local highway and is known to many people as the broccoli tree. image.jpg

dan

the posts I enjoy most, are the collecting from the wild ones - like yours. we have no bonsai nursery where I live, so collecting is the only alternative. looks like where you go is untouched - lucky.

best wishes, sam

Anyone else have a camera today?

Talk about apples and oranges is somewhere on this site...how about cherries and apricots?

You bet, Sly...remember to post a photo of a tree...

This is pretty cool: A JWP that was languishing at the botanical gardens last year until I brought it home last October.

The photos are from 10/12 and 8/13. What happened? More food and less water.

Re-potted this guy because he blew off the bench and out of his pot in our 60mph winds.... grrr! Not exactly what I was planning on.

I took the morning off from work just to pickup this trident. I bought it for the massive base but the rest will need lots of work. It first will need to get healthier as seen by the sparse growth.
