This is green island that got hit really hard 3 years ago with a freeze and I lost
the whole top of the tree... At the time I had the trunk slanted, I have since
changed the angle of it, and have done quite a bit of wiring and rebuilding...
It is my sigmond the seamonster tree... and I love it !!! Gotta say it is a very
strange styling, but really appeals to me. It's a big monolith. :)

As one can see from the last pic... it has a very large branch that forms
the upper trunk, that needs to be addressed, perhaps even be greatly reduced ???
But, that tomorrows problem !!! :)

Have you thought about cutting some of the top branching to graft down low? I saw a youtube video where Erik Wigert peg grafted a couple branches on a huge green island.

Found the video:

Thanks for the reply... and I appreciate the question.
I actually have a really bizarre kinda plan for this tree...

There is a tree at Epcot (Disney World), in the Chinese pavilion that
has to be one of my favorite all time trees. Every time I see it I just
fall in love with it all over again !!! I was just there again recently
because of my tree being on displayed, and got inspired all over again.

The next day I was working on trees when the idea came to me to try
to style this tree in a similar approach.
Re: Inspirational Trees

The tree at Epcot is actually a Mulberry, and unfortunately is really hard
to get a good photo of... Here is a decent one I found on the net, that
Ed Trout took.

That's an ambitious plan. Good luck, and please keep us posted.
