Just sharing with you guys two bottle brush i got from my favorite nursery (not a bonsai nursery). They started as two tall regular nursery trees but the pots they were in had lost about 50% of their soil so i could see the surface roots really well and was sold on basically that and the bark. I chopped them this spring and did some root work as well and potted them up in bonsai pots and a few months later is where they are at now.
I have wired the shorter one that has the best movement, and as far as the other one it hasnt grown as rapidly so i have just left it alone. i know ill have to chop the tall one again but i have never worked with this species so i wanted to go fairly slow. I want this tree to be sort of a tall weeping broom style so i can have the flowers on at least one of them.
Anyways here are 8 pictures for each tree from all angles. Let me know which front you like.
