Korean Hornbeam, Logwood and Brazilian Rain Tree

I would love to see more pics of the BRT. Looks like you might part with it as it's on the ground..... That would open up some space. You got to be able to walk around.

LOL...you did not see the tree, just foliage! ;)

Here is a pic of it taken late November as it went in my garage.

The tree I really like is in post 4. 4th pic left hand side it's the box on the end of the bench. Ridding yourself of that eyesore would free up some space.

Here is a cropped blurry view, but think you will probably recognize it. Let me know if it needs to go.

Ah...my wife's boxwood. Probably one of the last BW to go...IF you know what I mean. ;)

That's probably a good thing. I would have paid you too much for it and had to hide it from my wife.

Impressive collection Dario of plant material! Very nice. I'd love to see these as they develop into bonsai in a few years.

And I thought I was a tree hoarder. I have 48 right now and after collecting this spring the number will be over 100 trees.
Nice collection Dario. How do you move around in that jungle?

You watched Entrapment with Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones? Remember how she "danced" through security laser lights? Not like that, :p I just walk. ;)

I believe I "acquired" around 120 plants last year.

Mostly amended Turface. But these are in various "soil" that I went through from the start...from their original soil, oil dri (which I do not use anymore), to various mixes. For cheap stuff, I am settling with Turface, Floor Dry (DE) and bark/potting soil. Mixed in equal parts and sifted through a 1/16" screen.

If and when I get cheaper lava and pumice, I will use those in my mix more.

You are wise to look for substitutes for the Oil Dry and maybe even Floor Dry. Over the years I have found these products unpredictable. As long as they can pick up what they claim to pick up they are not required to furnish more. One batch will hold up really well and provide good service another batch will turn to swamp scumb in a season. The manufacturers are not inclined to fire the stuff and any particular temperature forcing it to maintain its structure beyond good old fashioned mud. Anything better than that is the luck of the draw. Only in my experience.

You've got quite a collection, Dario. I think you could use a few more junipers though. ;)

Slowly adding some already. ;)

As few as my juni's are...4 of them are among the 5 most expensive in this entire collection (believe it or not). AND....the most expensive are hardly visible at all! LOL
