I'm clearing out an old shed in my yard this summer and It has a concrete base so I plan on making another small nursery shelving area out of it. So where do you keep your trees? Just looking for Ideas and curious on what others have done.

Here's a few older photos of part of the area where I keep me trees, the areas have grown and extended into other parts of the yard quite a bit since then.

Honest I am very impressed that at 17 years old you are so enthusiastic AND make such good use of materials that are available to you. Good job!

Here is a picture of mine. I'm moving later this year and then I'll build something a little easier on the eyes.

Very nice, is that a Juniper in the first photo on the left? I'd like to see a closeup of it.

Hi KayaMooney

Thank You, No it`s not a Juniper it`s a Acacia Nilotica (scented thorn tree) not a good pic .Acacia do very well in South Africa and I have a view different species ,I will take better pics of it.

JoeBonsai, with only 1 post you are new here, but not new to bonsai. Your trees and stands are super, but picture 5 ...wow ...looks like a resort golf course!

Thank You for your comments, Yes I have been doing Bonsai for many years but still learning as I go along.

I probably have the least classiest, but I have 4 benches (two inside, two out), filled, and plants on the ground (mostly stuff I collected in January). The frame becomes a greenhouse during the winter.

Ya I run an extension cord from my house to the plants and hook up electric heaters. The average temperature sustains above freezing and that's all that matters. No morning frost gets inside during winter.

How much did It cost to build those benches Jerry?

I think they cost about €250/$350 each. I bought all the wood new, stainless steel bolts, stainless steel screws - so it could definitely be done cheaper.
