This entire thread is filled with amazing bonsai. I am running out of trees, but I wanted to say that the last few pages really have some incredible trees.

Japanese white pine graft.

M5...I was just wondering about that spruce today while watering it's "brother". Have you started on it?

I have not Brian. Dying to do so specially since it's doing so well. Looks really healthy and I believe ready to take my abuse. So many projects... so little time. What's best time for major work on this species? BTW brother looking good!

..and cleaned up the little guys

Best,
Dorothy

Gorgeous as always Dorothy! Procumbens Nana right?

This is one I bought last year at a local nursery. It was a little $10 special raw stock that already was a cascade in a half gallon pot.. Just a young little thing I bought because I realized I no longer had a decent cascade and I just wanted something to work on at the time.. I figure in about 20 years it ought to start looking mature for now, I like it for a $10 tree... Oh, wait did Is ay it WAS $10, but I bought it at 50% and used a couple bucks left on an old gift card then repotted it into a cascade pot I already had.. So in the end it was pretty much free!

Great tree, great pic! Looks like you have a beautiful home as well M5! What variety of JM is that?

Seiju Elm... I think? All he told me was that it is an Elm when I got it... I am pretty certain from the size of the leaves that it is Seiju. It has a nice beefy trunk for such a dwarf variety though!

What a gorgeous photo! Did you know what you were going to get in this shot or are the results a pleasant surprise. Either way it is a wonderful photo.

Thanks Eric! That is a regular green A. Palmatum in autumn.

Thanks Vance! In this case yes, I had a pretty good idea I was getting a good shot. Basically taking this photo was like cooking a hard boil egg... you can't screw it up! :D

A. Palmatum Arakawa complete with root graft and an approach graft up top.

Cool photo of a great grove.
I did major pruning on the spruce in November, and heavy wiring the following December.
