My 'Aconitifolium'. Not as vibrant as I would like it to be, but it's at its best in the 3 years I've cared for it.

Thanks,Judy. As much as I like to stay with them,I am getting away from the colanders next season.
I am going to just get the shallow Houtoku pots for the brooms.Probably typical blue white or green.
I already have all the pots I need, but I am going to get the next size up so I can be ready at repotting time.I will use them eventually.

My Dawn Redwood is continuing to pack on the pounds. Grew about 2 feet this year and the trunk is probably up to about 2 inches at the base. I'll probably do a repot next year. Fall color isn't quite as nice as last year though.

This one looks like a "Hillstock" maple... is it? Nice clump either way!

Yes good eye Dan! It is a "Hillstock". How'd you know? I was not aware of this variety discovered by Warren Hill until Owen Reich told me about it when I acquired the tree from him. It is supposed to have really tiny leaves. This year leaves were much bigger due to heavy fertilizing by Owen. This is a pretty big tree that needs lots of work and a good repotting but it greatly appealed to me. It looks so much like the sugar maples and other deciduous trees that grow in my area.

Haha! I didn't even know "hillstock" was a specific variety. I just assumed they were calling any of Warren Hill's trees "hillstock." - It looks like the one on Owen's site that I was eyeballing last year, so I was curious whether it was the same tree, or one of the others from Warren Hill's sale. Good score! :)

I finally got some fall color. Actually, this is the most that I have had in a while. Not much compared to what others get, but I like it. Arakawa Japanese Maple, Zelcova, and a Bald Cypress clump.

Brian, I love the colors on that hawthorn.

Here is some more fall color. I thought fall was over, but...Shin Deshojo, Bonfire, and Seiryu.
A few interesting facts: Bonfire has pinkish red spring leaves like deshojo. Seiryu is an upright dissectum. This year has been the best year for fall color on these three maples.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful color everyone!

Here are a couple shots of one of my Korean Maples this fall. (Acer Pseudosieboldianum) I have several smaller ones I'm growing out for bonsai purposes, and I may air layer this one in a few places.

I dunno, If you are still around or not. Have you done anything with the Koream maple?
