Good ol' Sorce. Never change!

So I got 12 in the ground yesterday and the rest go in today. I was curious if anyone has use regular old wood as a "tile". I have countless pine boards in the garage and pressure treated planks that could be used for fencing. Is the material paramount? I was almost tempted to cut up and put holes in a plastic cutting board.

Yes I am aware Marie. It's a long term project. I don't know anyone at the moment. I am creating a twin trunk with a relatively uncommon European beech with small rounded leaves, fagus rotundifolia. Slow growing but after three years the two trunks have fused. Now I want to create a clump with white beech. We will see.

A very interesting project MACH and I'm sure with your attention to detail if anyone can pull it off you can! I hope you can post a thread on it some time :)

Long as chemicals don't leech out.

Adair uses wood, with nails to hold roots aside, not through the roots.

I just used a cool WHIP top. Haha 4real!

Leather?

I'd use anything!

If you EVER see pigs flying. ......
I'll still be right at the edge of my rocker!

Deed's done. My grow 'bed' leaves much to be desired but the soil is fertile and drains well. Weather has been favorable. Hoping for the best. I'll check back in around 2017.

No sir! I'm just young enough to let these grow for a decade. :p
Most of my big stuff decided to die off. So I post what I have left.
I do enjoy the little guys for all the reasons in smoke's thread.

Unfortunately, a member of our club is unwell and liquidating. Hope to have some bigger material to post in the not-so-distant future.
