Masterpiece
Well, I decided to forgo the bourbon and just have some wine, along with a few olives. I stuck with the title as "wine and bonsai" didn't sound as catchy "booze and bonsai".
Anyway, yesterday evening, it was rainy and nasty out and I really wanted to work on the trees so I brought one in and trimmed and wired it. The victim, a satsuki azalea - chojuho variety. Here is what I have:

My main mission was to put some movement into the smaller trunk and the smaller branches. I also trimmed out a lot of unnecessary branches and foliage. I know that it is the middle of winter and spring is the proper time for this but it has been warm and most are actively growing.
Here is what I ended up with. I managed to get some movement into that smaller trunk, but not a much as I wanted, the larger branches are harder to bend. What do you think?
