The Treedeemer
In December 2013 i was at a garden centre, and saw a leftover shrub in a corner with a nice peeling bark. When spring came I managed to identify the plant as Physocarpos Opulifolius "darts gold". Not certain whether it was suitable as bonsai. I am not unhappy with the development so far, but would love to hear what you think.
When I bought it:
last summer in full leaf (Clear why the name has gold in it!)
And now, after a trim and light wiring:
Would love any thoughts on the species for bonsai, and the direction this is going!
