That's coming along well, Eric. I feel your pain about those weeds. I've got them in a couple of bald cypress. Their roots form a tightly woven mesh underground. This spring I'll learn if I got it all when I repotted last year.

Quick update on this ole stump today! @johng gave me this one some time back because he was just done messing with it- glad it fell i to my hands! Not a soectacular tree but grows fast, leads to quick changes. I think i am going to shorten it back to an upper branch moving to the left to add movement and start building ramification in the apex. Didn’t do it yet- I want to look at it some more...

These do grow incredibly fast and are lots of fun. I like your idea to lean it left and shorten.
Thanks- do you see the branch i am targeting there about 1/4 of the way down from the current top? At that little cluster of branches? Seems a good spot... there is a nkther further down but that might be too much?
