Wow.
That's gotta be worth some money now, that looks amazing.

Could you tell me, briefly, what kinda work you have gone through with this over the years of developing it?

Thanks mate!
well originally it was V cut and grown for about 8 years till this in 2010,
1-6-10.jpg
Soon after that I planted up into a nursery container for a year and set about starting the branches.

In 2011 I decided to put back into Bonsai container
base exposed-jan2011-01.jpg
2012, said container ( Iker Bonsai pottery),continuing with wiring of branches all the time.
6-6-12.JPG

I think this was the year I repotted in Summer ,across to this container from Bellota Bonsai pottery,
2012
15-7-12.JPG

up to this point the tree has been wired and unwired many times and defoliated on several occassions.

2013/14

. as above, after that it was potted into the cream oval Bonsai container from Bellota Bonsai pottery. Always with the wiring and pruning out of any branches too thick or un needed.
regards Craig..

Wow, good progression.
I've read a lot in a short space of time but I still just can barely understand this. Reading the changes you make and looking at the pics, the changes in pics are so minute to my eye (I'm sure its just me).
It had such humble beginnings, difficult to believe it turned in to that... Although that's what skill + 12 years gives you. Well done. I'd be so proud of that.

Sorry I didn't have pics of progress before 2010 but
in this pic the 2 red lines at the top are very thin shoots/branches.
The V cut was made at a height of about 3 to 4 times the thickness of the base,
which would allow me to grow a Tree at about 6:1 ratio.

originalcut1-.jpg

They were allowed to grow thicker to produce 2 leaders , 1 on each side of the V cut.
Pruning them on several occasions, in 2004 the new leaders looked like this,

from that point onwards I developed a network of branches up until 2010 when I began wiring and styling the Tree.
Yes from then on the changes become harder to detect but removing thick branches and directing others to where you want them
is an ongoing procedure.Hope this helps a little, cheers mate

Paul Katich (Bellota) pots are outstanding as well! You choice of his pot really goes well with the tree. Yes, it's an unusual composition but it has a Walter Pall feel to it; very naturalistic. If there was one thing I'd change, the current pot feels a tad bit too wide for it. But that's picking a fly turd out of a cow patty. ;)

Unusual, but impressive.

I'm usually not a fan of "uro", dead wood on deciduous, but I really like this one.
