Some sort of salix

I dug up this weed this spring and seems to be doing just fine. My Google research has led me to believe it's one sort of willow. I was leaning toward yellow willow due to how the others look that I did not dig. This was the only one with this bark so obviously I had to have it. If anyone has any ideas what this is I'd like to know forsure

Try comparing it to Salix Bebbiana? The yellow willow around here is S. Lasiandra, pointier leaves than yours I would say. A person might have to be some kind of expert, (a willow wizard man/wondrous willow woman?)to tell you for sure from a pic. I think there are lots of really similar species and they hybridize all the time too. Have fun with it!

Most of the other ones in the patch this came from all have longrr pointier leaves, I'm guessing this is just the new growth on mine. Since it was just a stump at collection. I notice when I chop in the early spring I get tons of new odd growth that doesn't always match the growth I get the following season or match other trees that have not had to push new growth to survive
