As said in the title, this is the first pine I ever purchased when I first got into bonsai about 4 years ago. It is a pinus koraiensis 'silveray' a variety of white pine (jwp won't live here)

This poor tree has struggled the last few years, somehow taking all the brutal newb mistakes along the way.

This year, I finally got the care of this thing down and it's actually showing good signs of health.

Today I was somewhat sad about this tree and have seen no future in it before, until today.
This tree only grows a few inches per year where I live. It hates the sun and heat here, so it's almost treated like a maple being kept more moist in more shade. With that growth rate in mind, it was either plant the dam thing in the ground, sell it, or finally do something!

I realize it's not a good time to be wiring pines but I figured fuck it, this things taken a hell of a beating so far! Let's see if I kill it finally, or actually give it a futute.

So here it is in its new style20160723_072758.jpg

Whir bending there was a slight Crack which may be the end of this tree, but I did wrap the trunk tightly so hopefully it pulls through.
Let me know what you think of my sad little white pine. Did I give it a future, or is it still crap? Lol

I think it has possibilities down the road, but im still a newb too. Hopefully others will chime in. Do you have a pic of before you made the bend. All in all i think you have something for the future. Oh and i like the greenhouse.
