One example, trees can't talk or communicate with sound, but they did evolve to chemically communicate with other trees. When a tree is being attacked by an insect, it releases chemicals in the air that can warn other trees. Pretty cool stuff!!!

Yeah I also wasn't very optimistic at first but I'm doing the best I can to stay out of its way and just let it recover. From here I have a long process of getting it to backup and to push growth back inside. I am also kicking around the idea of grafting blauuw juniper to it at a later date. For now I'm just leaving it aloneSweet!

Lmao well hopefully your juni is able to recover like mine did. I have found that around here our weather tends to be very damp and heavy organic soils are not my friend at all.In fact your post gives me a lot of hope for one of my own juniper (a big one too I got for free last labor day as it was pulled out by landscapers) and which looks very yellow/brown but will may be kick back!
The 'let it recover part' of your plan sounds like an awesome idea to me

Yeah it seems to be doing really well. I'll spend sometime Friday thinning out the foliage like you're recommending.Good to see it looking far more healthy! It is actually a good time right now to do some thinning off interior growth and weak growth.
