I only lost that one branch.
Got a few nasty marks where I wrapped it too tight.

But overall...it held well and is healthy so I'll scratch down one for August wiring.

Mine did that the last few Winters but so far just Bronze this year. I am pretty certain it is because they are getting more light then in the past. After seeing this I checked all and it is funny because a green mound juniper is purple/blue...

That little tree leans away heavy so I matched it with the medium one in back...
The soil is real high...they both go rather horizontal back nearer to the big trunk.
Should look better exposed.

I think this is as close to the big trunk up front as I can get.
Going for pole straight...
And leaners.

Trimmed a couple weeks ago.

Wiring in August again.

Maybe repot too.

I think it's definitely getting there. It feels a bit heavy in the lower trunk but you may be just letting those branches grow out for a purpose. Next year you should start seeing a good bit more adult foliage which really thins things out. Overall, you're doing some really good work with the tree.
