I'll go first - only so much you can do while keeping it healthy - Apex will need work and a lot of the to be deadwood - but for now I removed 60% of the foliage and that's about as far as I can take it to keep it growing strong

I'm in. Here is my Colorado Blue as I got it free 12/29/16 save the big bow and Christmas decorations from the unstyled entry thread.

I cut nothing living on this one. Only wired every branch but a few weak looking ones w/out any/many buds. Slipped into a similar sized container. Was going to paint it red but didn't want to look at it all year.
The buds are swelling now but too lazy to take newer pics. Looks the same otherwise. This one will live at least.

Just out of interest what is the best time to wire and repot evergreens (as a general rule)? I haven't done much reading into them at all as most of my interest was sparked by maples. I've not worked at the care home for a couple of weeks as I've had the flu but I'll be back tomorrow and my little guy is in the green house there.
Might take a little pot and some wire with me and see what mess I can make of it. It will literally be my first styling and repotting of anything bonsai related as up to now I've just been reading and collecting random pieces of stick for pots. I'll post up tomorrow if I can!

Tried something different this time a candelabra style

Its still needs work the green at the top is only there to thicken that branch its on to create a jin out of it but for now its enough torture

Didn't have time to get to mine at work last week, forgot to take some wire as well so it'll be Thursday before I post whatever mess I can concoct.

Woops! Am I too late?

Good thing I took a pic right after I styled it; haven't taken another, but it's still kickin'! Lower branches are sacrificial, please ignore.

Ahh, well I have been holding out for a reason but it's the end of March so fair is fair and I can always make a thread soon anyway.

And this was what it looked like after a trim.

Then a bit of wire.

Now all that was done day 2, I have just been waiting since then for it to flower and I thought it would be by now, it's so close really./

Oh well this is what it is like now.

So close.
I was going to pot it up too but I need to get a good look at the roots first.

I like how it looked at picture some wire in :)

Yeah, after watching it grow out it could really do with another wire job to hold shape now. Looks a bit scraggly at the moment but I'm loathed to chop the flowers off, after all that is really what these are all about.
It still needs a clean out but letting it go to flower really has helped in seeing it's natural growth at this point and will make placement more apparent and I know better what should of gone. There is even a double flush of flower buds coming in now too.
After the flowers are done it will get a trim, lose a few lower branches but should then start filling in a bit better. See if I can force it into a pot perhaps.
