I picked up some Chinese Elm Seedlings last week and they seem to be growing very fast already.
as they are getting stringy and tall do I keep cutting them back already?

Amen....

They'll throw buds from anywhere, including the cut ring, so trunk trunk trunk, no cutty for years.

Oh, and I probly wouldn't even worry about roots unless they are mad close to perfect.....

Just plan on layering them for a nice spread later.

Which means you can start a bend a foot up later, so you don't have to be working with your face in the dirt, and just layer it right below that later.

Of course, there is the time it takes for roots to bark up, which should be accounted for, hence, work the roots nice yearly on any good ones.

I got these last Thursday, they were shipped in a wet paper towel so i just stuck them into a pot for now but will take them out and put them in individual plastic pots. They do have mad roots already.
I guess I fan them out and just let them grow for now.

Oh...fan The roots?

I don't know if I'd disturb them again.

At least not until the next 15 day old moon.
