I just hate the whole you can only grow a ficus thing... Indoors is NOT ideal but it can be done if you have no options or just want to invest in the proper equipment. Ask the weed people, it seems they prefer it...

If you want a Ficus... You can have this kind of growth in a month as well... Chopped a little Mame willow leaf and a month later... It looks like an Emu...

To answer your question @sorce I just wanted to start slow and not overwhelm myself, but I actually have a few acres so outdoor would be nice. I don't know I am actually doing my own landscaping next month and I'm starting to think a few Bonsai trees would be real cool to have. I have a few acres and a real big concrete driveway and between the house and concrete driveway there is decent landscaping now, but I want to do it myself so now I am thinking of having a few Bonsai trees on a concrete pillar.

Outdoors is the way to go. You'll have an easier time and your trees will look better. Update your profile to include your location or tells us where you live. That way people can recommend species as well as care specific to your climate.

I'm not sure how far you are from Lemont, IL but they have a nice bonsai nursery called the Hidden Gardens there.

Oh yeah!
Go outside!

I'll hit you up in the morning!

I kinda knew you were serious from the start!
Usually people don't find us within the first 24 hours of their obsession!

That made this Extra Crazy!

It's on!
