From humble beginnings...(how it looked when I bought it.) ~Bougianvillea pink pixie.

To the now chosen front. Will toss some wore on the still flexible newer growth. And trim back once blooms are spent. (Noticed aphids on it a few weeks back. Treated...but a few leafs were affected. No biggie)

That really is looking great! Have you thought about removing that branch in the back so the viewer can enjoy the area of the trunk that it is blocking? Just a thought.

@Vin that branch needs wired. Is not attached at all to that area. It's quite flexible. Will be one I wire and add into the mix...or cut back half way. Still won't know until I wire it and see how it shapes up and what it offers. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do something like this. Taking it behind the root and developing the cascade further on that side bit...or not.
(Photo taken off of Bill V's blog. This was marked the front.)

But I sort of like the way it looks here. Just an appreciation of a piece of work. Mr. Wu and Bjorn with the Japanese maple bonsai that Bjorn worked on in Japan.

I love it!

Thanks Vin! For your direction and kind words. I honestly was befuddled at the direction of that branch after seeing that photo on the blog. But it's...it's own tree. And it needed treated as such.

I'm very pleased at the direction it's taking. Again...thanks for commenting on that one branch. That set in my mind to keep foliage from that twisted section of the tree.

Ragamuffin...in need of a trim...but for the sake of the blooms!?!

It needs reported spring of 2019...but this mess needed shaped up. So as @Vin suggested...I tightened up the foliage for now. Removing what would have been blooms. But...it's a lot easier on the eyes, so worth it.

Adair suggested a possible angle change, will possibly try that in the late spring/summer at repot time.

Very cool! Has a great deal of interest and you really want to look deeper at it and figure out where/how the trunk runs. Good job!
