This is not an accent plant. I know that. You guys are the most plant savvy people I know. And I didn't know what other forum to put this in. Just wondering if someone can help ID this beauty.

Thanks in advance.

Looks to be a Calla Lily to me. There are many types but the single flower petal seems right. They are a tuber(bulb) and here they require Winter protection to regrow in the Spring.

Thank you both! I got this plant from the secretary at my job. I'm just going to try and keep it alive until I can give it to my mother for Mother's day. :)

It is an anthurium, most are native to Andes mountains, South America. Most are from wet tropical or wet cloud forest. They tend to be epiphytes in nature. You can pot them in a coarse bark mix as used for orchids, or even in long fiber sphagnum moss. Or grow as @amcoffeegirl suggests. They do not like to get dry, need good air movement, and about 30 to 50% sun.

I think it is an Anthurium. I would NEVER normally disagree with you Grimmy, sorry.;)

Obvious - you are correct! I should have consulted Crystal as the plant room here only contains 1 single plant of mine and I have no idea what most of her plants are called :p The weather allowed us to go to only two nurseries the past two weekends and no Gumpo yet. Actually they were pretty thin on inventory and we bought flora for her garden. I did find one Cranberry Cotoneaster and out of 20 or so was the only one that looked like it might work out.
I suspect the places will be bringing in a lot over the next couple weeks as the night temperatures are finally going up and getting stable.
