Ume raft. I didn't have much luck this year with my scions taking. Just one from last fall is growing. No matter. I have lots of thread grafts alive. Will check back later for unions. Recently, I cut back the rootstock suckers. They're very aggressive. Now, more light for the ume.

I like the visual rollercoaster created when I follow a killer @MACH5 post with similar shaped tree of far less beauty!!!;):D:D:D:D:D:D
Crab apple I found, (bought) this weekend. Needs a lot of work but I think it has a descent start.

Still a tree with very nice potential. Probably quite beautiful in flower.

I cut the roots so hard on this landscape Acer Japonicum, I thought it'd die. Over 95% was tossed away in the early spring. The tree survived likely from the roots in the colander. I want more roots before separating it from root stock just to be safe. The tree as you can see thinned itself out to survive. Now branches extending a little. I'm hoping what's in the soil will make a good shohin clump. I'd started grafting Shin Deshojo but I may switch it to something else altogether.
