Mine came from Scott Lee...look him up off of Facebook. He had some...not sure if all are gone or not. Here is mine. He did say I got the best of the bunch. But, I've seen @JoeR 's and was it @Dav4 who snagged a clump from him? All equally had the cool factor going on.

This one is a Chi Chi ginkgo...smaller leaves and has cool texture to its bark...and develops the chi that looks so cool!

Beautiful trunk going on with this one. Thanks for the leads
Thanks...it sure has movement that 2D doesn't show even half as well as it is. Love the trunk. The bark is spectacular on this cultivar of ginkgo.

Let me know if he hooked you up with one. He's a great guy...got quite a few trees and accent plants from him. Fare pricing as well as great material.

Welcome! He's a great guy...I trust him...he's fare priced...has great material of all price values. I've put a bug in his ear...if I was looking for something in particular. He keeps his eye open for me. My neagari Satsuki azalea came from him as well.

Congrats! I'm happy for you he had one left! A lot of times the base on these are so boring. No flare...pole into the ground. Can't say that about any of his I've seen sold.

Pretty bullet proof...they are one of the oldest trees on earth. Shows how hardy they are. Chi chi ginkgo' from what I read online...are all males. You picked a good species...just don't let it dry out.

I hear that a couple of Ginkgo trees near the Hiroshima blast site still survive to this day? I will keep it from drying out for sure

Until planted up here.
They put some in town for a beautification project.
Lasted a year.
Then winter arrived.
What zone are you? We have Ginkgo in our town lining one of the streets. We got down to a zone 4 during artic winters. Curious if the trees came from a warmer nursery. Because outs never skipped a beat with the harsh winters we had a few years back.

It says 4 on some maps 3 on others.
Wind in winter burned them.
It gets kind of chilly here sometimes.
Cold enough to freeze steel so it breaks easier than normal.
So cold that diesel engines won't run without lots of additives.
Sometimes it hurts to breathe it's so cold.
It gets cold enough that the oil that lubes the chain and bar on chainsaws freezes solid and they need to be thawed out every so often when using them.
Can do the hot water freezing in mid air trick every year.

They have a lot planted here in 5b.
One of our hospitals has a lot planted on the north side.
I love that a hospital uses these for landscaping.
