Just curious: how does the title system work? I mean I'm currently assigned a title of yamadori. Is there a fixed order based on number of posts or it works some other way? Couldn't find that info.

You get a title based on how much money you pay me, and how much I like you. Also if you send me good beer. :)

The title system is a meaningless thing based on how many posts you have. I have a bunch of titles that are themed to bonsai - you start as a seed and progress up to Imperial Masterpiece. Then, if you are one our lucky veterans who get close to 10,000 posts, I might just make up a custom title for you :)

Oh, I see. Here's the beer for you - just finished swimming in the lake and having one. It's Pilsner Urquell from tap - but the real one from Plzen, Czech Republic, not that American colored water (no offence): IMG_20170712_1954339.jpg

What title do I get? ;-)

American colored water? Buddy, you need to come and try our many, many different kinds of American IPAs dry-hopped with native Northwestern hops. Those are big, full-nosed ales. No offense, but your lagers cannot compete with a hoppy, full-bodied ale ;)

Now when I think of it the colored water was supposed to be Budvar (or Bud) - another quite famous Czech beer.

You mean those? Ok then, there's no argument about these. Have been to Las Vegas twice on a IBM conference and found a pub with like 120 draft beers from around the world. Spent few evenings there. American IPAs, APAs and what not were featured on some of those evenings.

And I truly enjoy a nice craft lager during our hot summer days. I just stay away from mass produced beer!

I'll drink to that. Craft beers do not have that long tradition here but the trend is starting. Still, there are some even mass produced (Budvar and Pilsner are examples of such - especially when they aren't pasteurised and filtered) that set high standard of lagers. So far lagers are what we here are mostly used to.

How easily can a discussion on ranking system turn into discussion about beer...

Actually I am not that picky with beer - just like the good ones. My other hobby is making wine - with my friend we do about 1200litres every year (6 varieties, 200litres each). Just enough for us to consume ;-) I also sometimes go to wine tasting competitions as a judge. So I'm much more wine guy...

It was hilarious...wonder what happened to that guy....back under the bridge, I suppose.
He called me a nonsesne rascal too, but it's much more fitting of @sorce .

Sorce started as "Pokemon Go Master" :) One day he noticed his new title and he posted "wth? I'm a Pokemon Go Master!" and no one knew what he was talking about :)

Small things entertain me for hours :)

American Tap water?!?!

Our "Big Boy" Malt Drinks are NEXT to those fancy beers..

And They are 12-16 percent by volume.. if you'd like..

Soooo saying

"American, Food-Colored Paint Thinner" is more accurate.

We drink everclear like it's pucker... at least in Wisconsin.

😂😂😂

How sad.

😂😂

But my Balkan Heritage dictates I brew my OWN.. DAMNIT!!

mmmm.. Rakija

😂😂

Just kidding though, I don't drink.
