The prolifically seeding whore of sharon.

48 minutes and @wireme , while I don't have a shovel...
I forgot my big pitchfork.

Then...the middle tine broke off my Lil rake.

Not too bad though.
Had some boxwood for sale...but eh.

So what do you think of the Whore?
Leave it here when I move?

I'd say silver, I found a book that covers these big leaf maples and sycamores, by a brit named Busch, actually has become one of my favorite books on bonsai, but it covers these types of trees in detail, which I found very interesting and rare. couple tricky little techniques, and valuable tid bits, you may want to check it out if you have not.

Hi all

I collected this Cotoneaster from a school that was being closed down and levelled in 2014, I had to make a 30"x16" box for it due to a large semi submerged root, I removed the root in 2015 as it wouldn't have gone in to a dish that would have been in proportion!

I lopped off most of the branches and did some carving on it, New branches need to be chosen and the straggly lesser ones removing..

Carving under way..

Time to choose a pot for it..

This 24"x16" was a little bit shallow for it..

So I opted for this 15" diameter mica drum..

Had to lose a bit of rootage but it went in OK with still much of the fine feeder roots intact..

From memory, I think it's 10" across the base and just fits nicely, I need to pick the main branches now and try to develop them ;)

Not a whole lot going on here, but I've wanted a Jack Pine for a while and I was up at the cottage over the weekend. I was surprised to find the roots limited to the top 3" of soil. Popped right of the ground like a sandy root-cake. I'm hopping, with several trunk chops, to build a slender literati type tree.

And this is the grow bed that I started this spring. Can't believe that it's almost full after only one season. WTF am I supposed to do next year?:confused:o_O:)

LOL!
I'll have to start working on my boss now.;)

Dot them marigolds throughout....
Basil...thyme (accent planting shhh!)
The rest of them pest deterring herbs.
Tomatoes to keep the aphids busy!
(Mine are infested and still producing great! All the tree near are perfect!)

Then cook it for her (assumed) too!

Throw in a couple moustache rides and you can quadruple your area!

Lol!

Or throw her in the closet!

Oh my God!!!
All sound advice, all sound advice, except...
In this case I was referring to the 75 year old property manager where I work.
Maybe she'd go for a nice batch of cookies.

"The older the violin the sweeter the music"

No cookies! On with the moustache rides!
