Ah goddamnit Al. I have no idea what to say but that I'm VERY sorry for your loss. I haven't had the pleasure of knowing you and Norene in real life, or actually at all, but these photos of yours do sweeten up this sad sad news.
Praise the lords for your years together and please do know we are here if you need us. I think that goes for all of us.

Veel sterkte toegewenst!

Sorry for your loss Al. It takes a strong person to share this with all of us, but thank you for doing so. I hope you feel the warming thoughts, hugs and prayers we are all sending to you.

I don't know you, but do know that you and Norene had the great fortune of being with a person who truly loved them, for life and for eternity. So sorry. Hope that you receive some comfort during this trying time.

Al,
I have learned in 58 years of Life, there are no Words one can say in this time. If I where there, I would come in the room, give you a hug, share a tear, hold your hand and Sit.
I am Sitting.........

I am so sorry for your loss Al. You and Norene were made for each other. Heck, you guys even have the same crazy eyes. One can not imagine what all crazy shits you guys did together. Hopefully time will lessen your pain. It will. If you ever wander south, please stop by and visit us. There is a little tree or two and a cold beer here waiting for you. Hang in there Al.

That is the most profound thing anyone has said to me since this started. Thank you....
I'm only half way through this and feel like an ass for not seeing it sooner, having never met you in person and only seeing your sarcasm/wit on this site from afar it doesn't take a simpleton to see your a great person & really shows how the Internet can bring people together across this great nation of ours. Pm me if you ever want my phone number for someone to chat with & im sure I'm not alone in this. i still haven't finished this thread but I can see where it's going & I can't remember if your a religious man or not but after her suffering is over & you want to rage against God, remember 2 things. He will understand & forgive you & most likely bring her to join him while the worst of it comes to a close, but he will also keep her safe & sound (and whole again as you remember her) waiting in heaven until he deems it's time for you to join her. Remember you are never alone & the rest of us are here for you as you need us.

The love of my life is gone, but certainly not forgotten. She will be in my heart always.

Al I am truly sorry for your loss & the time you must wait until you are reunited again. But remember you WILL see her again and just live your life as you know she would want you until that time comes to pass.

After finishing this thread to this point just remember all of us are here for you Al whenever you need us. About the best advice I could offer now would be to make a trek to Michigan to sit with @M.Frary & & @Vance Wood at the next show cracking jokes & having a good time. It will never make the pain go away but perhaps for just a second it will make it easier to bear. Obviously our thoughts & prayers go out to you, clear your ignore list because I'm willing to bet you would find everyone on it giving you there condolences. And if someone on that list isn't, well Satan needs company in hell right? The important thing is, grieve in the best possible way that helps you cope with her loss but don't give up on life or people because I'm sure she'd never want you to do that. Your picture of her getting ready is a great reminder that nothing is trivial. An easy thing to forget...

So sorry this has happened. At least now your healing and recovery can begin. That will take as long as it takes. Use your trees and woodworking to find purpose, focus, and distraction. Keep moving forward. You are fortunate to have had so much time with one you loved so well, something not to be taken for granted as not all, or even many, do.
