I need to go take pics! There is an absolutely huge kapock tree not too far from me. It doesn't have a branch til 100' or more in the air. Some of y'all would love it for sure, a miniature one would be awesome. And there are guyaba (guava to most, but guava is another thing. The ones with yellow golfball size fruit have beautiful multi colored bark and most of us wish we had mini versions, they ramify very well. Some look like big bonsai Wday I'm going down to the Panama border for cheap supplies. I can take photos then. Anyone want to see helaconia flowers? There are lots of types and styles here, some are blooming now in my yard and nearby. Their colors can be so vivid, and varied. If y'all want to see them it's no problemas, I am happy to do it. There are ficus here that would look great as minis if done right. That's just what I've been trying to do with them, and I'm pretty happy with a few of them. The trees here are full of stuff to learn also, and if I'm not learning I'm bored..ok, pics later in the week.

A naturally dwarfed birch grove on the top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park, Maine:

And some pitch pines in the Albany Pinebush Preserve in NY state. I'm kicking myself for not getting a better shot of the older tree in the back right corner!
