any update on this tree?
Hi @Phillthy

Right now the tree is flowering like crazy. It is a full head of beautiful pink.

I am just waiting for the flowers to fall off and it is going to be repotted. Should be doing it mid October.

Will definitely post pics of the process.

Thanks
Dorian

That does look pretty interesting if brought back where the bottom left corner is bottom. Just enough to kill parallels and perps.

I'd tilt like this and consider making top taller?

I can't visualize the roots carrying that direction...coming out of the soil...You would have to take the soil level up higher...no? I can't see it...In my mind...it looks forced.

Yah an idea, another perspective. I'm glad you looked at it. :)
Always look at different views. I have actually been sitting on my pc and been rotating the image around since you made me look at it like that. Always good to have other views.

I am still keeping fingers crossed that it will work as a cascade. That is the worry that I have when I re pot it. Only time will tell.

So eventually I got to repot this Bougie. I had forgotten that I had a cascade pot hidden in my cupboard and only after a tidy up did I realise that I could use it. Now it might not be the final pot that I want it in but it at least now over the next few seasons, I can develop the canopy in a cascade position. It also allows me the time to look at my leisure until I find the perfect pot.

I had to take off quite a few roots to fit it into the pot so I defoliated it at the same time to give it as much chance to recover quickly. I am not too worried as it has been fertilized like crazy ever since I got it and it is growing like a weed.

I was curious what the one area that looked to have roots would look like once exposed. You handled that well. Can't even tell. Stunning...you sure brought this tree into its full potential in this angle change.

Thanks Cadillactaste. Appreciate the feedback.

I actually had to cut off quite a load of roots to fit it into the pot but was lucky that there were so many healthy roots to be able to remove it.

I am going to let the soil settle and have it recover and then will put on some moss to cover the soil.

I actually think my vision was spot on (except for the pot)
