Hi all. It's been some time since I've last posted. Here is my first wiring, and styling of a RMJ. I would like honest opinions, critiques, and a pot selection please.

This juniper lacks a lot of deadwood. What are your opinions on adding/gluing/fastening on a piece of jin?

Never. At least not me. I think this tree has a lot of character to begin with.

Consider this alternative styling. However I agree with Paul I would wait until the foliage at least doubles before I starting moving in this direction.

This is a nice design, and the you can create Shari. But definitely needs to grow a lot more foliage!

Tons of deadwood is overrated.
For me a little goes a long way if it looks real.

I like B'nut's idea, but I'd also want to change the planting angle to the left, making the tree more upright, and I'd move that first branch on the right so that it's moving to the left (once the tree is a bit stronger;))
