Ok so I went to Savannah today to check out a nursery that said they had JM and elm along with junipers. I also seen some azaleas someone had posted about didn't find anything else that I liked but I did see this azalea so I picked it up. Says it's a azalea conversational piece not sure if it's a good cultivar for bonsai but it does have small leaves and the 2 flowers I see don't look too large I'm hoping it's something to play around with and learn about. So is this something that might be ok or is it something I should plant in the yard for land scaping? It has a really nice lower trunk and root base I think if the foliage and the flowers will be small enough it will be ok for me I'm not planning on ever showing anything I'm just doing this for fun and for stress relief. Thanks for your feedback back

Conversation Piece Azalea usually have large blooms, over 3 inches so plan on a big plant 24 - 30 inches tall potted. They are rugged though and a good plant to learn with. I would suggest an up pot to a good size terracotta shaping and growing for a few years. I don't recall seeing them up here locally even though they would do just fine.

Honest I would not put it in Landscape for a variety of reasons. It would be far easier to keep it healthy potted down South.
