Nice tree, i miss the overall shot. Looks to have relative small needles.

Better overall shot from spring this year... It has a mix of longer- fully fertilized needles and the shorter non-fertilized previous year. I am still getting to know this tree, so I am going SLOW to learn it's unique characteristics. I've fucked up one or two nice trees going too fast!

Wow, awesome trees, less awesome prices ;)
In the US, the price of imported bonsai trees is very high, and I think this is due to import restrictions. The US has really strict quarantine rules and all imported material is probably so expensive due to the time needed to quarantine them.

If the branch has significant cork, you can wire it, but NOT bend it. The cork bark will pop right off!

The time to wire is the new shoots, before they develop cork.

Yep yep this isn't my only corker, but it's the best one I've got..! I will post up more pics after I wire it up between now- spring.
