I always do root work before the leaves are out...when buds are swelling, on my deciduous.
I guess we'll see what it does....
If I was in you place, at this point, I would reduce the branches and foliage.
My thought is that it's good to balance what you removed from the roots, by reducing the top as well.

The more leaves the faster the recuperation will be. It is an elm. Depending on the weather it might drive out to fast. What protection and temperature humidity you provide?

Nothing major to report back on for this one just yet.. I repotted/ trimmed the roots recently. Also starting to grow out some branches for selection and apex etx.
