I am looking for feedback on your collective experience with small, portable sprayers designed to apply either pesticides or fungicides.

I have some "budget" sprayers from box stores, but concerning to me is that when I pump-up and pressurize them, they seem to "hiss" chemical out of the main seals at the top of the unit.

Any feedback on your favorites? Any specific recommendations on those manufactures/models that hold pressure well and are therefore less likely to atomized and unsafely distribute harsh chemicals into the immediate environment (i.e. my lungs).

Thanks in advance.

How big do you want to go? Are you just trying to spray a couple houseplant-sized trees? Or do you have 100? It also makes a big difference whether you are talking indoor or outdoor.

I'm not sure that any sprayer is 100% "safe"... so I would recommend if you have any reservations to stick with organics and non-carcinogenics. Or buy some fancy protective gear :)

If you’re worried about safety then use a respirator.

about 20 trees, applying Cleary's 3336F outdoors... every couple of weeks. Not industrial, by any means, just looking for best value versus quality (quality = not pissing a mist of Cleary's all over my mucous membranes)
