Yes, I have not had other colors yet in the 2 years of growing it.

It should toss a branch or two of solid red blooms as it grows. I find the blooms on them to be a bit on the small side but they are also smaller on my Toyo compared to other types.

@Mellow Mullet ...hey, John take a look at this link. Your one unknown resembles the bloom on the satsuki I got from Don. The name he shared in this link.

Now for 2018 flowers...Japanese quince

The flowers look very similar, but the foliage is different, the leaves are very rounded. It also looses all of them except for three or four around the flower.

Very nice quince....

That is really lovely, and looks great in that pot.
Thanks Carol...was looking to possibly repot this year. But nothing glazed its size. May wait another year...or put it in a shallower cascade pot that is unglazed...but a nice feminine shape. Research said these are repotted 2-4 years. So...doesn't have to be repotted just yet. It looks good with the colored one its in as you say. So I am in the wall over if I need to this year.

Got to love those Miyuki! Yours are blooming earlier than mine. When I left the house Friday I did not have a single Azalea popping yet!

It is a strange flowering season for me. The myuki did not bloom until much later last year and we had a warm winter. This year we one of the coldest I can remember lately, two snows with accumulation this winter. We had like three days of warm weather and everything started popping, like a switch got flipped. I was hoping to upsize its pot before it bloomed but will have to wait now.

The myuki

All of the few we have were moved from the normal Winter Shed to the "New to me" attic conditions, midstream but less prone to erratic weather - THIS WINTER IS INSANE. I never and will not do a "two step" but this year I have moved things once to FOUR different locations which was never needed - WTF?
