I started building a rock formation for a potention ROR or penjing setting.

I carved this out of a foam exercise roller.20180307_173143.jpg20180307_182622.jpg20180308_181101.jpg

Right on looks natural , what’d you cover it in?

I like the color looks like the support is there , creative working with what you’ve got !
What type of mortar or cement did you use? I like the idea.

I covered it with grey non flexible tile adhesive mixed with some black oxide.i saw this method posted on another forum. It is super light and feels strong. My next step is to add some detail with acrylic paint and then coat it with a clear pond sealer. The tile adhesive feels like rock. This is my 1st time using it and i really like it so far.

I work in construction so i got the thinset for free. All up this will cost me next to nothing.

I am leaning towards planting a junioer ir elm on this. I am still undecided.

I think it looks pretty sweet. Looks natural, you could shoot some miniature effects shots with that, haha.
