Well see here, @Adair M . Now you've got everyone confused. Luckily, the last time I was at Boon's we took a picture side-by-side so that we would have a fair comparison. Here it is:

Thank you @markyscott for your response!
Mr. Baddeley I know from the old days on IBC and on his own forum he has always been very kind and helpfull.
He also owns some stunning trees, among them a fine Crataegus.

He did a wonderful job and we enjoyed having him. Many thanks to @bonsaibp - we piggybacked on his hard work and organization.

How long do you leave wire on these?
I have an olive this size too, and wired 1/2 inch branches in spring, removed the wire maybe 3 weeks ago and Ican see how they loose shape now. They were however biting in. Can olive handle wire bites? Or do you see them in 10 years still?

Young branch can heal, old branch with wire scars is more difficult. 1/2” seems like a big branch to wire. Maybe better to cut off and start a new branch.

You two are too much haha. But man that Olive is a beast, and so is the BC behind it. Excited to see the branching and shape come into place
